The pendant depicts the mythological Capricorn as a fully sculpted composition. The goat’s body flows into a scale-covered fish tail, creating a distinctive circular silhouette. Detailed horns, fur, fins, and scales produce a rich play of light across the polished surface, while the green stone set into the eye provides a vivid color accent.
Task
Create a detailed Capricorn model while preserving the recognizable mythological character and the visual unity of the composition. The main objective was to combine numerous decorative elements into a balanced silhouette, integrate the bail into the horn, and prepare the complex sculptural model for production.
Production
The thickness of the fine elements, relief depth, and spacing between details are designed with casting and finishing in mind. The horns and upper part of the composition form a functional integrated bail. The scales, fur, and fins are modeled to preserve their definition after casting and polishing. A dedicated seat is provided for secure setting of the eye stone.
